Our Team

Our Founder - Paul Featherstone

I’m Paul, and I work in care — same as you. I set up the Association back in March 2016 because I know what this job really takes. I’ve done the long shifts, carried the responsibility, had the tough days, and felt that quiet pride you get when you know you’ve made a difference.

I started the Association because I honestly felt we deserved better. Somewhere that actually understands care work from the inside. A place we can call our own, where we’re respected as professionals, listened to, and supported — whether that’s with career advice, guidance, support or just knowing there’s someone who gets it.

Hi, I’m Liz. I work in care too, and I’m also a nurse. I’ve spent nearly 38 years in social care, in all sorts of roles, and I’ve seen just how much skill, dedication, and heart this work really takes. I’m deeply passionate about making sure care professionals — and the sector as a whole — get the recognition and respect they deserve.

In 2015, I co-founded a domiciliary care business that went on to become award-winning, and I still play an active role today because staying connected to the real, day-to-day reality of care work really matters to me..

I gained my NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care back in 2006, and later went on to study Business Studies at the University of Wales Trinity St David. That mix of hands-on care experience and business knowledge helps me understand both the people side of care and the wider challenges facing the sector.
