Who we are and what we do
The National Association of Care & Support Workers (NACAS) is an independent professional body and advocate for care and support workers in the social care sector. NACAS champions the recognition, value, and professionalisation of care work, providing a platform for workers to have a voice in the sector. Importantly, NACAS is not a trade union.
- Founded in 2016, NACAS is entirely self-funded through membership subscriptions, receiving no grants or external funding. Its independence and dedication have made it a trusted and respected organisation within the sector.
- NACAS equips its members with resources to excel professionally, including best practice guidelines, training courses, and networking opportunities. The association collaborates with policymakers, employers, and stakeholders—such as the Department of Health & Social Care—to promote policies that advance the interests of care workers and enhance the quality of care for vulnerable individuals.
